National Taco Day at the Rio

At the Rio, we love tacos on Taco Tuesdays, National Taco Day and everyday!

On Friday, October 4, we invite you to celebrate National Taco Day with our shareable, chef-inspired tacos including Baja fish, Tequila Shrimp, Grilled Steak, Cilantro Lime Chicken, Beer Braised Carnitas, and the featured taco of the month, Fried Cauliflower. The taco of the month features fried cauliflower (fried in gluten-free batter lightly seasoned with Mexican spices), roasted poblano ranch sauce, house pickled jalapeños and red onions, cotija cheese, and freshly made corn tortillas. And from 3-6 pm and again from 9-11 pm, all tacos can be enjoyed with happy hour priced cocktails.

The National Today data science team surveyed 1,000 people about their taco-eating habits. The results are in, and shocker, people love tacos. Of course we didn’t need a scientific study to show that people love tacos.

  • 95 percent (19 out of 20) of people surveyed said they “love” tacos.
  • The most popular taco filling is carne asada (steak), with more than one-in-four noting it as their go-to.
  • 76 percent, or more than three-quarters of people surveyed, have tacos at least every couple of weeks.

The Rio is dedicated to bringing fresh ingredients, interesting flavors and chef-inspired preparation to the menu, while staying true to the traditional dishes that made us famous. The Rio’s upgraded taco selection includes an interactive, modern dining experience with à la carte, mix-and-match ordering and seasonal, featured items.
